We all know "The stars at night are big and bright
Deep in the heart of Texas". But Monday night, March 25, brought interest from Texans to an unknown object in the sky seen in Central and North Texas.

The UFO was bright in the early evening sky and appeared to be moving through a smoke ring. Fortunately, social media users took photos and videos of a glowing object hurling through the sky at high speed.

MYSA writer Cristela Jones reports people also saw the object in San Antonio and Houston. While the light could've been anything from an asteroid, comet, or a UFO, it is the result of a SpaceX launch in Florida, most likely. Falcon 9 orbited Earth and passed over Texas, which made it easy for people to spot Monday night.

It wouldn't be the first time a UFO has been sighted in Texas. The city of Edinburg, TX had a close encounter in 1966. A group of 8 men were digging a gravel pit at night. All of them told the same story of that eerie night.

One of the men had been so frightened that he urinated in his pants. The men were later taken to the sheriff's office, where they were interviewed and allowed to spend the night. They told sheriff's deputies that they would never return to the site of the incident, and they reportedly left town the next day, happy to escape with their lives.

The sky in Texas goes on forever and shows us all kinds of things in the Universe. Maybe the song should say, "The UFOs at night are big and bright Deep in the heart of Texas."
