Here Are 5 Ways to Tell You’re Living With a Texas Ghost
Have you ever had the feeling you might not be alone, even when there's no one else in the room? The Lone Star State has no shortage when it comes to paranormal activity. If you've ever experienced strange occurrences you can't quite explain, you might just be living with a ghost, right here in Texas.
I came across an article from House Beautiful that describes ways to tell if your house is haunted. It reminded me of times growing up in my grandmother's Texas farmhouse. I just know there was a ghost there. I always believed it was the spirit of my grandfather who died years earlier.
If you've experienced any of the following, you might be sharing your home with a ghostly guest.
HERE ARE 5 WAYS TO TELL YOU'RE LIVING WITH A TEXAS GHOST
If you hear footsteps, knocks, bangs, or even voices when no one else is around, it could be a sign of a ghostly presence. These sounds might be subtle and easy to dismiss, however, if they happen on the regular, it might be time to start investigating.
Things Moving or Disappearing
Have you ever placed your keys or glasses in a specific spot, only to find them somewhere else? Do objects in your home move around or disappear for no reason? A ghost could most definitely be the culprit.
Ghosts are many times associated with cold spots in a home. If you walk into a room and suddenly feel a drop in temperature, it could be a sign that a spirit is close by. Cold spots are said to happen because ghosts draw energy from the environment, which results in a chilly atmosphere.
Strange Shadows or Figures
Seeing shadows or figures out of the corner of your eye can catch you off guard. If these shadows or figures don't have a logical explanation, such as a person walking by or a car driving past a window, it very well may be a ghost.
Ghosts are said to interfere with electrical devices. Your lights may flicker, your television might turn on and off, or your cell phone will act up for no apparent reason. It all could be a sign that a ghost is trying to communicate with you.
To me, living with a ghost can be a fascinating but also a spooky experience. While some ghosts are said to be friendly and just passing through, others may have unresolved business. Spirits can also be attached to certain places.
If you're experiencing any of the above signs, you may consider reaching out to a paranormal investigator or a medium who can help you understand what's going on and find a resolution.
