Even though it's not Halloween anymore, there's always to talking about ghosts. Especially when they're coming to El Paso. Ghost & Volbeat will be coming to Don Haskins Center next year so I think it's only fitting that we look back on the last time Ghost came to El Paso: the Abraham Chavez in 2018.

I've been a Ghost fan since Infestissumam was released in 2013. Once they released Meliora in 2015, that's when I REALLY became a huge fan. I missed my chance to see them play at Tricky Falls the year later so I was NOT going to miss my chance when they were coming to the Abraham Chavez Theater.

I sat on the Grand Tier, right against the railing & if you've been inside the Chavez, you know you can get a really good view on the stage: The stained church glass background, the drum kit & keyboards set up on top of the staircase, everyone wearing black outfits & masks... it was pretty epic.

And then...Cardinal Copia appeared & took control of the stage...

The show really hit a high point from me during the first act. When Ghost played my favorite song, from Meliora...when everyone in the room started to feel...the thunder

Another personal highlight of the show came after the intermission, when Ghost would kick off the 2nd act with another great song from Meliora, "Spirit".

The show wouldn't complete without an encore. That night there was not 1 but TWO encores:

At the end of the show, Ghost showed their appreciation to the crowd by taking a bow while holding the Mexican flag. After missing my chance two years earlier, I was excited to FINALLY see them live.
