Over the years there have been some insane things caught on camera involving trains in the state of Texas. From accidents to fires to derailments happening in real time, here are some of the wildest train videos that came from Texas.

You almost never see a train on fire but it happened in Bryan, Texas in 2023

Thanks to this YouTube video uploaded by Houston Rail Productions, over 2 million people saw this unbelievable footage of a train on fire while traveling through Bryan, Texas in March of 2023. The train came to a stop in College Station, where firefighters were able to put out the fire. Thankfully no one was hurt.

If you ever wanted to see a train derail in real time, here's a few Texas clips from all over the state.

A train derailed in Orange, Texas in 2020 & thankfully some people were able to capture the accident on their phones which later were shared on the local news.

The view of the same derailment is even crazier from the white truck's POV.

People can take pleasant train rides at the Texas State Railroad in Rusk, Texas but on July 6, 2007, passengers were surprised to see a train coming from Palestine, Texas derail RIGHT NEXT to the train the cameraman was on. Thankfully everyone was ok after the accident.

Of course we can't leave out all the footage of vehicles hit by trains at railroad crossings in Texas.

With people having phones on them, these videos have become more & more common. There are several that still mind blowing to watch too; like this clip from Odessa of a pickup truck getting slammed by a Union Pacific train in 2023.

Another pickup was destroyed by a train in Midland in 2022; thankfully the driver escaped in time.

Midland would see another infamous train clip; this one involving a police SUV get hit by a train on the other side of a passing train.

Fabens, Texas saw this incredible matchup between a train & semi-truck carrying a giant container on its trailer. It's not the first time the El Paso area would have a train clip go viral; a different clip was featured on FailArmy earlier in 2024.

Another semi would meet a similar fate near Fort Worth in December 2023; this one would actually take the train WITH it. The train conductor would survive with only minor injuries.

We finish our journey with a much older clip from the 90s, this one from Crawford, Texas. While this isn't the first video of a train hitting a semi on the train tracks, it IS one of the first clips that made it onto various tv shows like Train Wrecks & Surviving the Moment of Impact.

Moral of the story? Be careful around trains, especially here in Texas.
