Talking to dogs doesn't make you weird. Arguing with them kinda does though ...

It’s called "anthropomorphizing" which Merriam Webster says means "the attribution of human traits to a non-human entity". It doesn't make you kookier than others, it actually shows that you're smarter than others. I don't mean the usual, "Whooos a goo' boyyyy?" stuff, this relates to full-on conversations. Explaining what happened at work, talking about your evening plans, etc.

Talking to your pets does not make you childish or silly in any way. It is considered to be one of the byproducts of being human on planet Earth. The human brain will always find human-like qualities in non human entities and this is known as anthropomorphism. Once believed to be a trait that was only found in children, anthropology experts who have studied the topic believe that adults who talk to their pets are displaying intelligence. - wakeupyourmind.net

The dog, mind you, has absolutely no idea what you're saying. On the plus side though, your dog will never repeat anything you say so, you can bitch about your better half all you want!
