It Chapter Two is set to hit theaters on September 6. As a fan of the first part, and of Stephen King in general, I'm excited to see how this one plays out and to see how this one differs from the mini-series. Stephen King himself has already given it the stamp of approval, which makes me extra excited!

The original mini-series debuted in November of 1990 and had a stellar cast; Tim Curry, Harry Anderson and John Ritter to name a few. Growing up it was the ONE horror movie that really shook me (that fortune cookie scene!). There was one scene, though, that I never noticed until I got older.

In the second part of the mini-series, when the Losers Club all get back together (minus Stanley) Ben (played by John Ritter) is telling the gang the story of how he lost weight, when suddenly, my little El Paso heart skipped a beat:

What a coincidence that they chose El Paso High AKA La High AKA The Lady on the Hill, which was named one of the most haunted places in Texas to be mentioned in one of the scariest stories ever told. I really hope they keep that scene in the new one, I know it's highly unlikely, but a girl can dream, right? I guess we'll have to wait until September 6th to find out.
