‘I Love El Paso!’- Danny Trejo Coming To El Paso In November
World famous actor, entrepreneur, ED spokesperson, and a part-time monkey named Swiper, Danny Trejo has confirmed he will be coming to El Paso in November. Mexican American actor Danny Trejo will be coming to the Sun City this fall for the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's 2019 Fiesta Celebration. He will be the guest speaker at the event, the 2018 guest speaker was Wilmer Valderrama. The 2019 Fiesta Celebration will be held November 9th at the Paso Del Norte Hotel. The hotel was recently remodeled and this will be the first event held on the property.
Danny Trejo is an inspiration for many in the Mexican community, as well as ex-felons. In and out of jail throughout the 1960s, Trejo got his start in acting after working as a youth drug counselor. A patient asked him to accompany him to set, and Trejo was asked to be a small role in the film. From there, Trejo has over 380 movie credits and commercials. Trejo also is a successful restaurant owner, opening Trejo's Tacos in 2016 and since then adding Trejo's Cantina and Trejo's Coffee and Donuts. All three businesses have expanded to include multiple locations, as well as Trejo branded items. You can purchase hot sauces, t-shirts, coffee beans and even beer in the works.
Danny Trejo will be in the new Dora the Explorer movie as the voice of Dora's lovable sidekick Boots the Monkey. "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" hits theaters this August. Trejo is has been sober for over 50 years and turned his rough past in prison to lucrative and successful acting and business career.
The El Paso Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's 29th annual Fiesta Celebration will be held November 9th.
