The Humane Society of El Paso is looking for kind-hearted people who are willing to give their time to join their Shelter Volunteer Program. If you've ever wanted to help out animals in need right here in the Borderland, this is your chance. Our local private, non-profit animal shelter, the Humane Society of El Paso, needs individuals for their Shelter Volunteer program. Participants need to commit eight hours a month for at least six months to this program to qualify. This program will allow people to work hand-in-hand with shelter staff to help animals in need and help them find their forever homes. Volunteers between the ages of 8 years-old to 15-years-old can join but must be accompanied by a trained parent/guardian.

There are six different branches of volunteer work with the Humane Society that you can apply for :

  • Shelter Volunteer Program
  • Retail Cat Care Program
  • Nursery Program
  • Facility Program
  • School Community Service
  • Court Ordered- Mandated

This volunteer need is specifically for the Shelter Volunteer Program. To apply, please visit the "Volunteer" tab on the Humane Society of El Paso website.
