Huge Texas Name Getting Inducted In Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
Every year the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland inducts some of the biggest names in music; some deserve it, while others...don't. However we've seen some big names from Texas make it in; and one name will be added as part of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2023. That name is Willie Nelson from Abbott, Texas.
Does Willie deserve to be inducted in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?
Considering he was a huge integral part of the Outlaw Country movement, he's partied with US presidents, plus he's recorded with plenty of rockers in his day (including Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Carlos Santana, U2, Tom Petty),
That's not even mentioning his constant run-ins with the law (which is ABSOLUTELY rock n roll) & his roles as an activist for the legalization of marijuana, so Willie absolutely deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame.
The added bonus of getting inducted into the Hall of Fame, was that it was announced shortly after his 90th birthday. Not a bad birthday present for Shotgun Willie.
Willie will be joining the Class of 2023 along side fellow rockers Rage Against the Machine, The Spinners, Kate Bush, Missy Eillott, George Michael & Sherly Crow. While I would've loved to see Iron Maiden get in this year, it's nice seeing Willie be added to the list this year.
However there's plenty of names that still deserve to be in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, including some huge names from El Paso.
