Gary first hit the Billboard Top Five in 1993 with his instrumental cover of “Hocus Pocus” by the band Focus.

He released his first album of Christmas songs in 1995 with the original Ho Ho Hoey album. Since then he’s released 16 live and studio albums including 5 Christmas albums, studio, and compilations.

Here’s his cover of You’re a Mean One Mister Grinch from Ho! Ho! Hoey! II….

Here’s a heavy version of Joy to the World from his third Christmas album…

Start coming up with your Yule requests for Gary Hoey. Don’t ask him for Mariah’s All I Want for Christmas is You, though. We’ve asked him every year for twenty years and he (still) claims he’s never heard it…which becomes harder to believe with every passing year.

Also, Gary has already started his Ho! Ho! Hoey! Rockin Holiday Tour. Some of the remaining dates include:

-December 8 at Reggie’s in Chicago.

-December 14 at The Rhythm Room in Phoenix

-December 15  in Vegas at Count’s Vamp’d

-December 16 in San Juan Capistrano at The Coach House.

-December 17 in Ramona, California at Ramona Main Stage

Of course, Gary will be taking requests tomorrow around 7:15 El Paso time. Just remember…NO MARIAH!
