Downtown, plant-based meal prep option GrownTogether is hosting a non-profit fundraiser to support the Black Lives Matter movement in EP and beyond. GrownTogether is a relatively new company only being around a few years in the Sun City but they've grown to become a name you should know. The company's mission is to "empower and inspire healthier communities by preparing delicious vegan meals and giving back to the community." And they've held themselves to that standard since. The company spends a lot of time educating their followers on veganism and how a plant-based diet can positively impact your body and your life. They also promote an overall healthy lifestyle and support various causes through El Paso. The company recently opened up their first storefront, located in downtown El Paso and now they will be using the location to support the Black Lives Matter movement.

GrownTogether will be hosting a Black Culture Celebration at their storefront on Wednesday, June 17th starting at 6 p.m. The pop-up block party will be a non-profit fundraiser featuring food, music, art, dance, local vendors, and more. There will be social distancing required at the event since the city is still dealing with COVID-19 cases. GrownTogether says they want the event to be a welcoming place where people can celebrate their culture. GrownTogether is located at 209 East Mills Avenue in downtown El Paso.
