Let me start by saying this. I don't dislike Texas Governor Greg Abbott. I do have a problem with some of the things he's been doing recently. Reopening Texas when the COVID-19 finish line is in sight doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Other than to appease the I-ain't-wearing-no-mask-stop-infringing-on-my-rights crowd who seem to be so obsessed with "their rights" that they ignore everyone else's. There's a reason you aren't allowed to drive drunk. It saves lives. Same thing with masks and social distancing. But since it wasn't "your side" saying you need to wear masks and social distance there had to be something wrong with it.

One of the advantages of being an independent is you don't have to side with a team. Of course, if you're on the right and support everything Abbott does you're going to call me a leftist extremist. That's fine. I get the same hate from the left side when we point out the negative things that people like Gavin Newsom or Andrew Cuomo do. BTW, don't let the sexual assault claims on Cuomo distract you from the fact he padded the numbers to make him look better during the beginnings of COVID.

Well, let's get to Governor Abbott now. He made the decision to open up Texas. Seems a bit premature and it even seems he knows it's premature because he's already jockeying to blame Biden and immigrants on a potential spike.

And you might be thinking, well yeah, there's nothing wrong with this. What if I told you Greg Abbott stalled the testing of these immigrants? Basically the Department of Homeland Security was reaching out to the Governor's office to help with the testing but Abbott declined. Of course, depending on which side of the fence you're on has already dictated how you feel about any of this.
