Various shelters and rescues around El Paso are in need of temporary foster homes for dogs and cats in El Paso. The weather is getting colder and it's not just cuffing season for humans. Many dogs and cats in the Borderland are in need of forever homes and shelters and rescues in our community are working diligently to try and find some temporary, and hopefully, permanent homes. Shelters and rescues are asking members of the community to open their homes and become foster families to dogs in need.

The Animal Services shelter has hundreds of medium and large dogs that need foster homes and their current pool of foster homes are at capacity. They are now asking the community to open their homes temporarily to a dog in need. Fostering is free and Animal Services help by providing all the food, medical care, and supplies needed to house any foster dogs. If your home already has a dog, bring them to the shelter to see what adoptable foster dogs would fit into your family. You can reach the Animal Services shelter at (915) 212-PAWS.

Fostering is a wonderful way for you to give back to your community and help save animal lives. This allows groups to free up space in a shelter so they can help more dogs, and also allows them to work with rescues to get dogs transported.
