Friday night, March 13th, El Paso officials confirmed the first presumptive positive test of COVID-19 in El Paso, Texas. Don't panic. The male, in his 40s, tested positive and is currently quarantined at home.
According to KVIA, the man recently traveled to California. He began to show symptoms and was tested Friday morning.
No further details have been released but El Paso officials wanted to hold this press conference to warn El Pasoans about going out and not being careful. Please wash your hands and don't go out if you don't have to in order to try to prevent the spread of the virus.
