I might not know a lot about AT&T stadium in Arlington when the Cowboys play, but when it comes to soccer and the World Cup, I am all over it! This upcoming World Cup has me super excited because I will be closer to the games than ever, and it looks like Jerry World is the top pick.

Texas Stadium Takes the Top Spot

According to a new analysis from Live Football Tickets, one of Texas’ host cities isn’t just preparing to welcome World Cup fans, it has officially earned the title of the most iconic stadium involved in the tournament. Researchers evaluated all 16 venues across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada using capacity, fan ratings, social media popularity, and architectural symmetry to determine which stadium stands above the rest. And the top spot didn’t go to New York, Los Angeles, or even Mexico City. It went to Texas.

Why This Stadium Leads the Ranking

AT&T Stadium in Arlington came out with the highest overall score, giving Texas major bragging rights heading into the tournament. With a seating capacity of 94,000 and a near–perfect symmetry score, the home of the Dallas Cowboys didn’t just edge out the competition- it dominated it!

The stadium’s massive fan-rating average and more than 153,000 Instagram hashtags boosted its iconic status even further. Its retractable roof and giant HD video board have made it a global landmark long before FIFA arrived, but now it has the data to back up the hype.

How Other Venues Stacked Up

What makes this ranking even more interesting is who came up short. MetLife Stadium in New Jersey may be hosting the World Cup Final, but even with the highest social media engagement and a near-perfect symmetry score of its own, it still couldn’t top Arlington due to its smaller capacity. Estadio Azteca in Mexico City- o ne of the most historic venues in the world and the only stadium to host three World Cup tournaments- landed in third place with an impressive score, proving this ranking wasn’t just based on nostalgia or legacy. Texas simply outranked everyone.

With the World Cup getting closer and global searches for tournament details skyrocketing, the excitement is only going to keep building. For Texas fans, this ranking adds another layer of pride heading into 2026. Not only are we hosting the biggest sporting event on the planet, but the most iconic stadium in the entire tournament is sitting right in our backyard. And whether or not you care about the Cowboys, there’s no denying Texas just scored a win before a single match has even been played.
