Who's ready to party? Good because the downtown fiesta is coming back.

With summer quickly winding down and fall in sight, the Downtown Management District is getting ready for the second half of Fiesta de las Luces.

The lights, the food, the music all packed into one festive evening. The family-friendly fiesta is returning to the Paseo de las Luces next month.

South El Paso Street is going to be lit -- both literally and figuratively – when Fiesta de las Luces returns to downtown El Paso on Saturday, September 17, with a party under the lights in Downtown El Paso.

Like the first couple of fiestas this past spring, September’s Fiesta de las Luces will be a night of live entertainment and family-friendly fun.

The free to attend event will include food trucks and numerous art and merch vendors with all kinds of local goodies and flavors.

The list of bands and vendors is getting worked on and hasn’t been released yet, but typically entertainment consists of live music from local bands, as well as mariachis, folkloric dancers, and family friendly activities all taking place under the lights of the Paseo de Las Luces, or Walk of Lights, on the historic corridor stringed with white lights overhead spanning the width and length of the S. El Paso Street.

The Fiesta celebrating local culture on September 17 will precede the final Fiesta de las Luces of 2022 on October 22, which I hear will be a Halloween-themed party. More details in the coming weeks.

For now, save the dates.
