Fake Plastic Surgeon Lured, Assaulted Women

Police say and El Paso man used Facebook to pose as a cosmetic surgeon so he could lure women to a motel.  At least one alleged victim claims she was sexually assaulted.

Tito Villarreal, 43, of El Paso reportedly admitted to police that he and a friend set up the fake Facebook profile to trick women into thinking they had won free cosmetic surgery. He denies assaulting the woman. He accused his accuser of propositioning HIM.

The victim told police she originally contacted the phony Facebook page asking about cosmetic surgery. She says was told to send pictures of her body along with her weight. Then, she claims, she didn’t message him again until January of 2024 to ask about a raffle for free surgery. Villarreal then allegedly asked her for her weight and more photos. When the victim questioned him, she says he told her she had won the raffle.

The victim says she once received a phone call from Villarreal from a phone number that came up as “El Paso Cosmetic Surgery”.  Then, the victim says, she agreed to meet at a hotel room for a “massage that was necessary in preparation for her surgery”.  It was then that the assault is alleged to have happened.

Police say they believe Villarreal may have pulled the same scam with multiple women. They’re asking anyone with information about the case to contact them at 915-212-4040 or 915-832-4400.

Police warn El Pasoans that scammers may using “spoofing” technology to make it look like their calls are coming from a hospital or cosmetic surgery center.
