In the midst of our pandemic season, what can we learn from the Holiday season?

Plenty; including the message of hope and faith from one of the world's oldest religions as the Jewish Celebration of Lights, Hanukkah, begins this Thursday, Dec. 10, and continues through Friday, Dec. 18.

Rabbi Levi Greenberg of El Paso's Chabad Lubavitch helps us understand Hanukkah, where it comes from, how it's celebrated and what lessons we can take with us as we all deal with the novel coronavirus regardless of our faith tradition.

Rabbi Greenberg also shows and explains two important items in the liturgy of Hanukkah, the menorah and the dreidel.

Most importantly, it is Hanukkah's message of resistance in the face of overwhelming odds. As a candle is lit on each night of the holiday, Greenberg equates that to each of us doing one small good deed each day to bring just that much more light to a world filled with darkness.
