The owner of a Central El Paso groomer has been arrested and charged after a puppy dies in his care. Luis Alberto Vargas, the owner of Karlu Pet Grooming in Central El Paso, has been arrested and charged with cruelty to non-livestock animals causing death, according to a press release from the El Paso Police Department. The El Paso Police Department was investigating the death of an 11-month-old Husky. The owner of the puppy came to pick up their dog and found him "limp and unresponsive." The dog later died at a veterinary hospital. According to EPPD,  "examination by the vet and a subsequent necropsy indicated signs of multiple injuries.”

According to KFox News, that owner is Eunice Lopez. Lopez posted on Facebook about how her dog died and the injuries the dog allegedly sustained while under the groomers care. Lopez said "Rocky had multiple bruises to his abdomen and whole body as well as a baseball size lump to his neck." You can read her entire Facebook statement below.

Karlu Pet Grooming is located at 2211 Montana in Central El Paso. The investigation is ongoing.
