West Texas Schools Rejoice for Upcoming Last Days of School

When I was a kid, the most important thing was when summer was going to be here. Thankfully Summer IS approaching soon so that means the final days of school will be here too! Perhaps you know when the last day of classes, or maybe you need a reminder. Regardless, if you live in El Paso, here's what you need to know on when the final days of school will be.

Let's start with EPISD

The schools in the El Paso Independent School District, EPISD, uploaded an official pdf file of all the important dates including the last days of schools for any schools in the district. For EPISD schools, their last days are June 7th. You can go here to see which schools are part of the EPISD district, in case you're not sure.

Are the last days of school different for YISD & SISD?

Yes they are. For both the Yselta Independent School District & the Socorro Independent School District, their final days of classes are a little earlier: June 2nd. If you're not sure on which schools are in each district, you can see them all here for SISD & YISD.

What about UTEP & EPCC & college campuses?

Anyone who's going to college will be able to finish their classes even earlier. The UTEP Academic Calendar has May 4th has the final day of the 2023 Spring Semester. For the Maymester, the final day is the 26th before the Summer semester would start in June.

For EPCC, their last days is about a week later: between May 8th to the 12th before the Summer semster would start on June 1st.
