The Gaming World’s Love Affair With El Paso: From Past To Future

There might have been a chance that, amongst the video games you've played, you have come across a game that features El Paso, Texas. Some games were made by indie developers but some huge developers like Ubisoft, Midway & Electronic Arts have included El Paso (and surrounding areas) within some of their games

Which video games have included El Paso?

Probably the most recent video game to feature El Paso, Texas is El Paso, Elsewhere, the creation of Strange Scaffold Games which was released on Sept. 26, 2023. Another thing to note is that the founder of Strange Scaffold Games, Xalavier Nelson Jr., is from El Paso, Texas -- hence, the connection to the Sun City.

But that's definitely not the only game to feature us. There are many more as evident from these examples here.

That's not even including the simulation games that also include El Paso in recent years. Games like American Truck Simulator included El Paso in a DLC that included a few more cities from Texas.

And there's also Microsoft Flight Simulator, which actually takes data from Google Earth and includes it in the video game. That's why El Paso looks so detailed in this game.

These are just a few examples that are out there. It's definitely possible that perhaps in the future, El Paso will be included in more video games. Only time will tell.
