Fact Check: Will Trump Really Be Banned From This Texas City?

Yes, it's a very interesting thought that former U.S. President, Donald Trump, might actually be banned from one certain Texas city. For the last couple of days, this rumor has been circulating.

International news sources have been claiming that El Paso, Texas might be banning Trump for what he did back in 2019.

Who's been saying Donald Trump is banned from El Paso?

According to the Daily Mail, based in the U.K., they put out a story claiming that Donald Trump might be banned from El Paso, Texas based on the fact that he still has yet to pay the city the half a million dollars he owes for the security he needed at his campaign rally in February 2019. Oh and let's not forget various posts on Reddit are saying the same thing too, so...let's call them "varying levels of believability".

This wasn't the first time Trump was here in El Paso; he came back after the 2019 Walmart shooting to meet with first responders & survivors.

But the fact of the matter is there's really no evidence to even suggest that El Paso wants to BAN Donald Trump. After looking all over the major news sites (CNN, Fox, NBC), and even various organizations from El Paso... there's nothing to suggest that we're considering banning Trump from coming back here. The only people that are saying this are news organizations from...well, other countries.

While it IS true that Donald Trump still owes the city a total of $569,204.63 and it's been 5 years now... there's no U.S. news source, no Texas news source, and no El Paso source is saying Trump is banned

Whether you like Trump or Not, the truth is, El Paso is NOT banning Donald Trump from coming back.

This is just another case of "Don't believe everything you see on the Internet"...
