An El Paso School Asks for Donations to Help Afghan Refugees

We should remember the time we had numerous amounts of help from all over August 3, 2019. Now should be the time we extend a helping hand and give back to help those in need. Harmony School of Innovation El Paso is asking the community for help.

From now until next Friday, September 10 Harmony School of Innovation El Paso will be accepting donations for refugees. Now you can imagine trying to escape your country as quickly as you can mean leaving with just the clothes you have on. Some were lucky and able to pack a backpack but that is it.

So, this is where your donation box of clothes can be put to good use. They're asking for new undergarments for men, women, and children. Women donations needed are long sleeve shirts, pants and long skirts. As for men, long sleeve pants, shirts, or even Birkas, and Hijabs. Also, any sort of children and infant clothing your kids outgrew is very much needed.

The footwear they're accepting are sandals, closed-toed shoes, and boots. Plus, those old toys you have lying around that are taking up space are also accepted. Hopefully, you have some of these items you no longer use or need and can donate them. Let's show some compassion and donate to the Afghan Refugee Donation Drive before it ends.

So if you have any of the items suggested you're tossing out, donate them. All donations can be dropped off at the front lobby during office hours. Their office hours are from 7:20 am until 4 pm Monday through Friday.
