El Paso Road Closures For The Next 2 Weeks

El Paso has become the orange barrel capital of Texas and TXDoT isn't letting up anytime soon. The next 2 weeks will see more road closures.

I'm seriously going to see if I can have either the definition of El Paso changed from "The Pass" to "Under Construction" or our entire city named changed to Los Barriles de Naranja.

Here are some projects guaranteed to annoy you somehow over the next couple of weeks ...

Whether it's because it delays you, you hate sitting in a hot car or you're sick and tired of your residential street becoming a freeway ... that's me! ... due to detours; road closures especially irritate everybody. Be aware of these and plan around them:

Monday, June 2 through Saturday, June 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)

Expect alternating lane closures along North and South Desert between Anthony and Redd Rd. Ditto for Redd Road, east and west, at the Redd/Desert intersection and along I-10 east and west between Redd and Resler.

Saturday, June 7 through Sunday, June 8 - from 3am - 3am

These I-10 on/off ramps will be closed:

• I-10 Redd Road exit ramp from I-10 east
• I-10 Transmountain entrance ramp (#7)
• I-10 Artcraft entrance ramp (#9)

Saturday, June 14 through Sunday, June 15

Starting at 3am, I-10 West, between Sunland Park and the Resler Exit ramp, will be closed. Also expect the I-10 West Sunland Park entrance ramp and the I-10 West Mesa Exit ramps to be closed

Monday, June 2 through Saturday, June 6

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)

• I-10 East and West between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closure
• North and South Desert between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closure

Monday, June 2 through Saturday, June 6

9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (as needed)

• I-10 East and West between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closure
• North and South Desert between Anthony and Nashua alternate lane closure

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Artcraft east- and westbound between state line and Doniphan alternating lanes closed

Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 6

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Intersection of Edgemere & John Hayes right lane closure westbound and Left turn lane closure eastbound at Edgemere
• Intersection of Lee Trevino & Ivanhoe right lane closures northbound and southbound on Lee Trevino

Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 6

9 p.m. to 5 a.m. (Night)

• Intersection of North Loop & Burgandy left lane closure Westbound and Left turn lane closure Eastbound on North Loop

Friday, May 30 through Friday, June 6

9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Loop 375 South between Sargent Major and Spur 601 right shoulder work

Through the end of June, from 9am - 4pm, Paisano (US-85) westbound between Executive and Doniphan will be closed. From now through SEPTEMBER, Paisano eastbound, between Doniphan and Executive, will be closed.

These Closures Are Semi Permanent:

• South Desert between Vinton and Transmountain closed

• Redd East to West and West to East turnaround closed

• I-10 East at Mesa entrance ramp closed
