Downtown El Paso eatery Elemi has quickly become a hotspot in the Sun City and Hulu has taken notice. The restaurant will be featured on a new show this year. Elemi has been open for a little more than a year and in that time has made quite a name for itself in the city and far beyond. Elemi is a Mexican restaurant that is "inspired by El Chuco culture, the agriculture along the Rio Grande, and maÍz that is cultivated from within the navel of the moon." Their cuisine has even been featured in Texas Monthly magazine, specifically their delicious Pato al Pastor taco. Their cuisine has made headlines and it looks like a new food show on Hulu has taken notice.

Padma Lakshmi is known as the host for the popular television show Top Chef but she has her own show coming out soon. According to a post on her Instagram, Lakshmi announced she had a new food show coming out on Hulu:

According to the post, the show will have her traveling "across the country visiting indigenous and immigrant communities to find out what American food is today." One of the places she was able to visit was Elemi in downtown El Paso. The owners were able to share some of the photos on social media to let their customers know the exciting news:

Taste The Nation premieres June 19th on Hulu. The owners of Elemi said they're excited to be a part of the new show:

"It’s a program/series we felt very passionate about especially living in a border community. The show has a positive outlook on immigrants, the communities they help build, and a focus on their contributions to our local food scene. Emiliano’s parents are immigrants from Ciudad Juárez that live here in El Paso, we have the best of both worlds and we were both brought up with love from both El Paso and Juárez and including delicious FOOD from both cities."
