El Paso’s Favorites Earn Spot in 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards

El Paso is in the spotlight again and this time, three of our most iconic spots are getting major recognition on the regional stage. The Hotel Paso del Norte, the El Paso Convention Center, and Visit El Paso have all been nominated for the 2025 ConventionSouth Readers’ Choice Awards.

These awards honor the best hotels, convention centers, and event spaces across the South, and the fact that El Paso is representing with three nominations says a lot about the Sun City’s growing reputation as a go-to destination for big events.

El Paso’s Hospitality Gets the Spotlight

According to a press release, Jose Garcia, President and CEO of Destination El Paso described why El Paso’s favorites are perfect nominations for these awards stating:

El Paso continues to distinguish itself as a premier meetings and events destination, offering unmatched hospitality, state-of-the-art facilities and authentic cultural experiences.

As lifelong El Pasoans know, we’ve not only got history, we’ve got flavor, and we’ve got facilities that can hang with anyone. From conventions to concerts, we know how to host.

Hotel Paso del Norte’s Star Power

One of the city’s crown jewels, Hotel Paso del Norte is leaning into its historic charm and modern luxuries for this nomination. General Manager Adam Gautreaux put it best:

From our historic stained-glass dome and rooftop pool, to our full-service spa, signature dining venues, and 32,000 square feet of event space, we strive every day to offer an experience that is both memorable and deeply rooted in the soul of El Paso.

Not many hotels can claim a rooftop pool with a downtown view and a dome that Instagram can’t get enough of.
