If you have been putting off taking care of a ticket because you're broke or, if a warrant has been issued for you you're off the hook.

The El Paso Municipal Court is once again offering "ticket amnesty." From February 24th through March 7th, unpaid warrants, (class "C"), traffic tickets and citations can be taken care of without penalty. The city is also waiving the fees for activated and prior warrants, collection fees and late fees for parking citations.

According to the El Paso Herald Post, "the Municipal Court will waive collection and/or delinquent fees to include":

  • the $50 warrant fee,

  • the 30 percent collection fees for active warrants and previously activated warrants, and

  • the 30 percent collection and late fees for parking citations.
