DUI, DWI - under the influence of alcohol or drugs, (even some medicines) - it doesn't matter. If you're impaired, you don't need to be behind the wheel. Doing so can, of course, get you into legal trouble, cause injury or even death. If you do manage to avoid hurting anyone, it can still cost you money in fines and higher insurance rates and/or your freedom.

The Most DWI Prone Areas In El Paso

According to some info from the El Paso Police Department, that was just released by KFOX, downtown El Paso seems to have the most drunk drivers. Certain areas in 5 Points are right behind downtown and the east side shows up after them.

All the info released by the El Paso Police Department seems to be based on arrests and accident data so there's no telling how many people get by with driving drunk.

Other areas could, possibly, have more drunks on the roads but since they're in areas close to their homes or they travel on quieter roads not as heavily monitored by the law, there is no accident or arrest info to analyze.

For now, you at least know to keep your eyes open downtown. No matter where you are, if you're going to party, don't drive. Get a designated driver, take a cab, call Uber, call a friend, use mass transit ... you have options. Be smart.
