El Paso Jefas Invited To Chica Chat’s First Women’s Conference

Calling all women in business! The local non-profit organization, Chica Chat, is looking for the natural-born Jefas in our community to join them at their inaugural women’s conference: Beyond.

Chica Chat is a nonprofit that aims at supporting and empowering women entrepreneurs in our community. The Beyond conference is one of the many ways Chica Chat is hoping to support women-owned businesses in our community.

“The conference is tailored for the natural-born Jefas in our community and embodies the essence of an empowered woman who steps out of traditional roles and breaks paradigms,” said event organizers.

Chica Chat's Beyond conference will highlight many topics relating to business and women’s overall wellness. Through panel discussions and workshops, the conference will explore creative ideas and capture new interests that will allow women to connect with other women who share similar ambitions in hopes of uplifting each other.

Altruistic Jefas

Structuring a business around a cause that strikes tangible change on social issues is not easy, but these Jefas are making it happen. Altruistic Jefas examines the maker behind the brand, celebrates how authentic community values make a company flourish, and demonstrates a unique and compelling case for giving back. Explore the causes these women businesses chose to support and how they are pivoting enterprise by making an impact.

Somos Chingonas

Is it a work-life balance or a juggling act? Deep Breath to De-Stress

Health study after health study tells us the lasting adverse effects and impact stress has on our overall health. We know we need less of it in our lives, but let’s face it, as entrepreneurs, stress is a part of the job description. So let’s hack our nervous systems and use the regulation techniques we are born with – our lungs! Regulated breath can improve mental health, social connectedness, positive emotions, stress levels, depression, and mindfulness benefits. Get comfortable and ground yourself with a guided sound bath meditation.

Panelists will feature women from all different sides of the business world. Featured panelists include Chuco Relic owner Chelsie Evaldi and Ximena Zamacona, of Full Circle Mushroom, a sustainable farm that specializes in growing specialty mushrooms.

I’m excited to be the official emcee for the event and hope to see other women taking advantage of this great event that will allow women to network and empower one another.

Beyond will be taking place on Saturday, May 21st from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hacienda Apodaca located at 10180 Socorro, TX.

The event will also feature Chica Chat’s “Jefa Market” which will feature all women-owned vendors and complimentary cocktails that will take place at the end of the conference and will be open to the public.
