If you're from El Paso, Texas, then you know that if we run into another El Pasoan out of town, or we meet someone for the first time, our first question is almost always "where did you go to high school?" I don't know why, but asking that question kind of gives you an insight as to who the person is; you get a generalized idea of where they grew up and the environment.

Sometimes when we hear the answer, we may groan a bit; some of these other high schools were our rivals, and in our hearts, our high school will always remain supreme. Which is why I found it shocking, and a little amusing, when this TikTok video popped up on my feed.

In a video that has generated over twelve-thousand likes and hundreds of comments, mainly from El Pasoans, many whom were not all surprised to see that their alma matter made the list of "the 15 ghetto high schools in El Paso". Check out the video below:

Yikes! Did your high school make the list? Mine did! But mine ranked on the lower end, it was no. 15- Parkland High School! To which I say, it's not ghetto- but again, we all hold our high schools near and dear to our hearts.

"Ghetto" may be a harsh term, but it is a TikTok video. Over in the comments section, many were relieved that their school didn't make the list, however, some were surprised that certain schools didn't make the list, with one highly liked comment reading:

Americas not being on there is wrong.

And many pointed out that some of these schools shouldn't be labeled as "ghetto", they're just in less economical areas! Let us know if your school made the list and if you're surprised by some of these choices!
