Lately, it seems like skating is certainly making a comeback to society. I remember many years ago I wasn't so great on a skateboard. But I certainly rocked the roller skates better.

Not that long ago we heard about the new skating rink opening on the Westside. In fact, it opened at the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso shopping mall. Now you certainly can get a workout in when roller skating. Skating at that shopping mall's rink clearly isn't free of charge.

It's obvious that Skate, Rattle, & Roll at the Outlet Shoppes at El Paso would make a great date night. But if you rather skate for a good workout, then there's a rink that's perfect. Nations Tobin Sports Center is the best spot to work out in your skates.

It is free of charge and is open to the public especially the visually impaired. Yes, even people who can no longer see, can play hockey with other team players with the same disability. You can always go and scope out how the blind are able to play hockey. Nations Tobin Big Rink is also where our local Roller Derby girls hold practice at.

They have a schedule they go by that shows the days and times you can skate. If you would like to see that schedule just scroll through the photos listed below. I know they say size doesn't matter, but the bigger the rink, the sweeter the moves. There are also photos I've included of what the rink looks like below.
