The "dirty Dr. Pepper" craze kind of blew up over the summer, but now, there's a new take on the craze that I think El Pasoans will appreciate!

Earlier this year, the dirty soda phenomena took over social media, so much so that Coffee Mate even created their very own creamer so that you could recreate your very own dirty soda in the comfort of your home.

There are a lot of varieties of Dirty Soda, but the original is a blend of cola, heavy cream, and flavored fruit syrup (usually coconut syrup). It's kind of like a melted root beer float. The cream and the fruit syrup act as the "spike", making the soda dirty, get it?

If you weren't too keen to hop on the dirty soda craze, may I introduce you to a new take? I'm sure many in El Pasoans will hop on this one!

In this new variation, instead of adding a creamer, you add, what I think is arguably the best agua fresca ever, Horchata!

It's that simple. Dr. Pepper, lime and Horchata!

it's kind of genius and I'm a little jealous that I didn't think about it before! Now, obviously, you're not limited to just trying this with Dr. Pepper, you can try it with any of your favorite soft drinks- I'm a big fan of Dirty Sprite- so I'll probably try Sprite and Horchata. I have a feeling this might be my new favorite way of drinking soda!

Go ahead and get a little dirty, no judgement here!
