El Paso Bucket List Items You Need to Experience
Joanna showed me an article about strange bucket list items, which got me thinking about the El Paso only things I need to cross off BEFORE I kick the bucket.
Wyler Tramway
You can see the Wyler Tramway every time you drive in the Northeast, but even as somebody who has grown up in El Paso their entire lives I've never known when the tramway is open. It seems like it magically opens and closes at random times and unfortunately, I've never got to write it! Goes on the bucket list.
Mission Trail
I remember studying the Spanish missions in middle school when everybody had to take Texas history. I remember thinking it was so cool that El Paso was a part of ancient Spanish history and that we have an entire trail of the missions they left behind. I would love to visit each mission before I kick the bucket!
Ascarate Grill Out
Something my friends and their families do all the time, but something that I've never gone out to do is take some burgers and hot dogs and a grill and enjoy that beautiful shining water of Ascarate Lake.
Viva El Paso
Ever since I was a little kid I've heard about Viva El Paso a show about El Paso's humble beginnings, and it's at Mckelligan canyon, but I have never gone. I went to Mckelligan canyon for the very first time recently, to enjoy cool canyon nights, and I absolutely loved it!
Rio Grande Fishing
So I'm not a complete idiot and I know the Rio Grande in El Paso is not known for its world-class fishing. But something about living next to a river but never actually casting a line somehow bothers me. So it definitely goes on the bucket list.
You can tell there is no shortage of El Paso-centric places and activities to enjoy; just do it before time runs out.
