Yep, you read that right. Many millennials have stopped eating cereal because it requires too much effort.

How much easier can a breakfast food be? You pour some into a bowl, then...if you want...add milk. Dip in a spoon, take a bite, chew, swallow, repeat. Pretty simple stuff here.

A story published by the New York Times found that almost 40 percent of the millennials who participated in a Mintel study said cereal was an "inconvenient breakfast". The reason? Because, they have to clean the bowl after eating. WTF? Throw it in the sink and wash it later. Unless you live in some weird, dish free universe, you have to wash them at some point. Right?

Even scarier is the effect this is having on the $10 billion dollar a year cereal industry. This is one of the leading reasons why cereal sales have fallen around 30 percent over the last 15 years or so. Wow.
