East El Paso’s Newest Patio Bar Opening This Week

The highly anticipated, newest patio bar in El Paso is finally opening this week! Grab your pooch and check out what Gringo Theory has in store for you.

The old Muggs location has been vacant for quite sometime, with many wondering why no one has jumped on the property and reopened it to its former glory. Now it seems that the wait was well worth it after I was able to check out the brand new bar Gringo Theory.

Gringo Theory, located at 11410 Montana, between George Dieter and Saul Kleinfeld, is a bar for everyone, including your furry friend! They have a dog-friendly patio everyday for happy hour! And with the gorgeous outdoor landscape complete with waterfalls, a pond, wooden bridge and REAL GRASS your dog will feel right at home outside.

Right when you walk into the bar you feel a fun atmosphere with multiple arcade style games by the entrance. You are also immediately greeted by the gorgeous and colorful logo on the back wall of the bar. The main thing I loved about the inside was the space! You didn't feel that when it gets busy you're going to be stuck shoving your way through a tiny walkway. There's plenty of room with multiple tables and even a sitting area with couches. Along the back of the bar you can play pool at the two pool tables, or relax in the cool booths made out of refurbished truck beds. There's even additional seating built into the back wall so finding a spot to put your purse or to sit down with friends is easy.

Once you make it outside you find even more wide open spaces! The outdoor bar has swings you can sit on white getting your drink as well as bar stools. There will be local food trucks that will rotate out on the patio with plenty of places for you to sit and relax with your friends. The bar has a great Austin-style outdoor patio with an El Paso flair.

The bar's signature drink is the Drunken Snow-cone and after you enjoy a few, call an Uber with ease. Gringo Theory has a convenient Uber pick-up and drop-off section to get you in and out of the bar safely.

Gringo Theory will be opening this Thursday for the first time to the public! The bar is open from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. everyday.
