Drive-in theaters are seeing a boom during the pandemic, mainly due to the fact that regular movie theaters aren't opening up yet. Now, while many movie studio have halted releasing new movies, these theaters have opted to show semi-new movies like "Trolls: World Tour" and "The Invisible Man," as well as some familiar favorites like "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." All theaters are doing the best they can to adhere to social distancing guidelines to make sure that your experience is safe and fun. Unfortunately for me, none of these cool theaters are in El Paso. I mean, we kind of have a drive-in called "Fiesta Drive-In" but aside from one event we held there, it's not really showing regular studio movies, if you know what I mean. If one did open up here, I'd for sure go, and make sure that I followed social distancing guidelines. Going to the movie theater was part of my normal routine. I miss going to the movies, and, even more, I miss that Buzz would pay for my movie ticket and snacks. We had JUST started "BJ's at the Movies"! But I do completely understand the severity of this pandemic and I'm not about to start protesting just because I want to sit in a theater eating popcorn and watch a movie.
