The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade is probably one of the biggest parades of the year. This year, I know every El Pasoan will have their eyes focused on their TV's as the UTEP Cheer & Dance team will be dancing along the parade route!

The teams had been invited to go to New York and perform at the 95th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Both teams auditioned for the opportunity to participate in the holiday tradition and are excited for the opportunity but needed just a little bit of the community's help to get there.

If you'll remember, not too long ago the UTEP Cheer & Dance teams were asking for donations to be able to make the trip out to the Big Apple in time for the parade. Their goal was originally $12,500 by October 29th- which they reached!

They're still looking for donations and you can still donate by clicking here. As for now, the UTEP Cheer and Dance teams have landed in the Big Apple and are practicing and overall just enjoying their time out there. Check out some of their pictures out and about in NYC:

They look like they're having such a blast, and it's totally deserving! They've worked so hard to get to this point!

Don't miss out on seeing the UTEP Cheer and Dance team represent the Sun City at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade which will take place on Thursday, November 25th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. ET. The Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade first began in 1924 and is tied as the second oldest Thanksgiving Day parade in the US.

UTEP Football Could Not Keep Up with UTSA at Sun Bowl

The nationally ranked UTSA Roadrunners started fast and never allowed UTEP to get close. The Miners lost the game at the Sun Bowl 44-23 to drop their second straight contest and fall to 6-3 on the season.
