The El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank is having their biggest single-day food drive of the year with the Stamp Out Hunger event. See how you can help this cause.

The El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank is a local 501(c)(3) organization that works to fight the hunger crisis in the Borderland. The group gathers donations and distributes the nutritious food throughout the community with the help of community partners. This group believes that no one should go hungry in our region and they work everyday to make sure no one does.

The Stamp Out Hunger food drive is the biggest one-day food drive in the nation and the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank is working to make it the most successful year they've had.

Here's how you can help!

The food bank is looking for volunteers to work at the Food Bank from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. this Saturday, May 14th. Volunteers will help sort, repack and unload donated food from the letter carrier trucks. For only 3 hours of your time, you will be able to help the food bank feed the needy right here in our area. Volunteers can be 12 years old and up. Volunteers 12 years old to 15 years old must be accompanied by an adult. The food bank is located at 9541 Plaza Circle in El Paso.

If you would like to volunteer and help the food bank, contact Alex Vallediaz at avallediaz@feedingamerica.org or call (915) 298-0353 for more information.

To donate food to the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, all you have to do is fill up the yellow bag that was left in your mailbox by your local mail carrier. Stuff the bag with all the nonperishable food donations that you can! Then leave the bag on your doorstep this Saturday, May 14th and your mail carrier will pick it up. You donation will then be delivered to the food bank to be sorted and then given to those in need in the El Paso area.
