Once upon a time, the El Paso area was a very different place and dinosaurs were all over the place.

See the proof the first Sunday of every month on a hike presented by Insights museum.  According to the Insights website:

Insights’ tour guides will take you on a three mile hike through our 211 acres of fossilized dinosaur tracks and giant fossil beds from the Cretaceous Period.  A long time ago, the Chihuahuan Desert was actually very wet.  Millennia of geological activity changed the environment, but we can still see the evidence of dinosaurs here today.  Insights’ knowledgeable tour guides can cover a variety of topics associated with our DinoTracks.  Please let us know if you would specifically like to learn more about animal tracking, dinosaurs, geology, paleontology, and much more.

The tour takes about 3 hours so you'll need to bring plenty of water, snacks and ... of course ... sunscreen! It's a moderately difficult hike so, dress accordingly for the terrain and the weather.

Cost is $15 per person, kids ages 5 and under are free and leashed pets are welcome. For more info, click here.
