Demon Hunter Unleash New Single ‘My Destiny’ Off of ‘True Defiance’
Demon Hunter have released their new single, ‘My Destiny,’ off of their upcoming disc ‘True Defiance,’ which is due out April 10.
Frontman Ryan Clark says, “’My Destiny’ is definitely one of my favorite tracks on the new album.” He continues, “It shows just how much the band has progressed over the years. Like many traditional Demon Hunter tunes, it has a little bit of everything, and I think it flows really well through both heavy and melodic territories.”
‘True Defiance’ is produced by Aaron Sprinkle (Anberlin, Emery) and mixed by Jason Suecoff (All That Remains, Trivium). The band’s forthcoming album is their follow-up to 2010’s ‘The World Is A Thorn.’
Clark goes on to say “We’ve been extremely underwhelmed with metal for the last five years or so, and that’s been the fuel to create this record. With an extreme over-saturation of false, fleeting, trend-hopping noise in today’s metal scene, we had to make something we’ve been longing to hear. Something truly meaningful and artistic. Something our fans would love and something that will turn the heads of those who have ignored us for the past decade.”
Demon Hunter are gearing up for a European tour with support from Deadlock, Nightrage and Insense.
