There's no doubt that Dave Grohl will forever be a legend in the music world. He's won countless awards for his work with Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Queens of the Stone Age & SEVERAL more artists.

But while Dave loves music, he LOVES barbecue too. He loves cooking for the homeless in Los Angeles & even runs his BBQ restaurant in Ohio. However, Dave's also been known to have a taste for Texas BBQ; these are some stops that he's been known to love in the past.

Dave Grohl's most well known place for Texas barbecue is this stop in Tyler, Texas

The famous Stanley's Famous Pit Barbecue made news back in 2019; while shooting for the "From Cradle to Stage" documentary, Dave made a stop at Stanley's, which later was reported by the Houston Chronicle. In case you're wondering, yes Stanley's is still open today at 525 S Beckham Ave.

There are actually photos of Dave with the staff from Stanley's during his visit which you can find here.

Dave also has a few favorite places for Texas barbecue in Austin

While Stanley's might be the one that get attention on tv, Stiles Switch BBQ in Austin, Texas got some love from the Foo Fighters singer too. In an Instagram post posted back in 2023, Dave was seen posing with two employees & the restaurant thanking Dave for stopping by to visit.

Austin is also home to Stubbs BBQ, which is where Dave Grohl played several times; they did a secret show in 2011 for SXSW, they performed there in 2013 as well as with The Breeders in 2023. So it's likely possible that Dave has a love for the place for not only the musical history, but the food too.
