Dallas Cowboys Must Avoid Mistakes Against Rams
The Dallas Cowboys have entered into a fight for their NFL playoff lives. This is also true for the Los Angeles Rams. There is no margin for error for either team. Dallas must keep pace with its bitter rival the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Dallas offense will have to contend with another marquee defender in Aaron Donald like the Chicago Bears Khalil Mack last week. This is another opportunity for Dak Prescott to shine and get the Cowboys offense primed for finishing the season strong and get into the playoffs! The Cowboys have become proficient in the passing game, however, Ezekiel Elliott cannot be forgotten in the second half of any remaining games. Lest we forget that Zeke can catch the ball in space as well!
The Cowboys defense will have its work cut out for itself as well with the Rams coming off a win over the Seattle Seahawks. The middle of the Dallas defense has some questions to clear up as Leighton Vander Esch is ruled out and Sean Lee is banged up. The defense will have to slow up running back Todd Gurley and corral quarterback Jared Goff. Wide receiver Robert Woods has come to life and tight end Tyler Higbee as stepped into the spotlight for injured Gerald Everett.
This game will certainly highlight the elephant in the room being coaching. How will Jason Garrett fair against a risk taking successful coach in Sean McVay? The Cowboys have believed to sign a more accurate placekicker which may put Keith O'Quinn at ease at least within 50 yards for field goals. And how can anyone forget Rams defensive coordinator Wade Phillips who was the head coach of the Cowboys with Garrett as his offensive coordinator.
There's high drama and a lot to play for when these teams face each other this Sunday for the right to maintain and/or get into the playoffs. It's don't miss NFL football with postseason implications abound! The Cowboys shall be playing for keeping the NFC East division lead and for a head coach who has taken a lot of grief during the season. The way to show Dallas Cowboys fans respect is to win the remaining regular season games and get real hot in the playoffs.
