The El Paso Municipal courts will resume sessions starting today with .. yep, you guessed it .. new COVID 19 inspired guidelines.

The El Paso Municipal Courthouses are back in business as of today, June 1st, 2020. Thanks to the COVID 19 pandemic, some new guidelines are in place, like:

Due to safety concerns relating to the COVID-19 pandemic only the Defendant will be allowed on premises. Juveniles and people with disabilities may be accompanied by a legal guardian or caregiver.

Temperature checks will be conducted at both 810 E. Overland and 9600 Dyer before entry into the El Paso Municipal Courthouses. -

In addition to that, face coverings are also required for entry into Court facilities. The new, official court guidelines also call for judges to do all they can to conduct court proceedings remotely and court staff must work remotely if possible. Read all the new policies here.

SPECIAL NOTE: If you think you may have COVID 19 or show symptoms of it, call (915) 212 - 0215 to discuss alternatives to your scheduled appearance in court.
