Cop Sprayed With 1,000 Pounds of Beer When Truck Overturns
This isn't what they mean by "bottle necking" on the road.
Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Travis Smaka survived when a beer truck driver recently lost control, causing a boatload of his haul to fall all over the road and flood Smaka, who was in the middle of a traffic stop.
“Well, over 1,000 pounds of beer shattering and a tidal wave of beer coming at me,” Smaka said.
Note the somewhat NSFW language shortly after the incident occurred:
You can hear Smaka is asking the people in the car he had pulled over if they had been drinking when he hears the truck and looks up to see a Noah's Ark worth of brews, in bottles and cans, coming in his direction.
Nobody appeared to be hurt, but we certainly couldn't have blamed Smaka for wanting to crack open a tall cool one after his shift ended. Then again, considering how much he probably smelled like the basement of a frat house, we certainly couldn't have blamed him for never wanting a beer ever again.
