This morning, most of El Paso was blanketed in snow. By the afternoon, all of it had melted away like nothing ever happened. Just another typical day in the Sun City. The local temperature will be returning to the mid 60s by this weekend. What does this crazy weather mean for El Pasoans?

My best guess is that the warmer weather is a sign that baseball season is right around the corner. In fact, many youth teams have already started practicing as they prepare for their spring leagues. Cody Decker is aware of this and the weekend resident of El Paso will be conducting two different baseball hitting camps this weekend at The Base.

The first one will be held on Saturday from 4pm to 6pm and it will be for kids ages 8-13. The second clinic with the three-time Minor League Baseball All Star will be Sunday from 11am to 1pm for middle and high school ballplayers, ages 14-18. Both clinics will be discussing the fundamentals of the baseball swing and approach in the batters box to hit for better average and power. Tee drills and live arm batting practice will be implemented. The cost is $50 per player and you can sign up online. If you are not able to attend this weekend, Decker will conduct another series of hitting clinics February 22nd and 23rd.
