Today on the KLAQ Morning show, City Representative Steve Ortega was on to talk about the proposed downtown ball park that has caused a bit of controversy.

During the interview Rep. Ortega talked about making unpopular decisions:

"My goal is not to make the popular decision, it's to make the best decision for the city."

He also talked about the mentality that some people have in El Paso

"Some people think that the city is destined to stay in poverty and that is wrong. We are working to change that mentality and by having the ball park downtown, it  would help revitalize downtown."
