Can This Video Of El Paso Teens Caroling To Justin Bieber’s “Baby” Go Viral? PLEASE!
Another day another negative video circulating on social media of teens in our area HOWEVER, this story is not about THAT video.
Nope. Instead, I want to make another video of a few El Paso teens go even more viral because it is just a wholesome, precious, and positive video that I think more teens need to watch.
The video in question was shared on FitFam El Paso's Instagram page and the caption reads,
“You love to see it. This group of guys is currently going around randomly caroling in the Upper Valley."
Caroling? In Spring?! Ok, I’m listening!
In the video you see a group of seven young men gathered together at the front steps of one of their neighbors' homes with Justin Bieber’s “Baby” song playing in the background.
I’m assuming it’s their neighbor, but either way it does not seem to be someone they are familiar with.
The boys are all holding their phones out with the flashlight pointed at the center where one of the young men is supposed to be lip syncing Ludacris’ rap verse from the song but I think he missed rehearsals because he was a little off on the words, but hey! Who am I to judge! I'm no rapper myself.
Anyways, once he’s done, the chorus comes on and all the boys begin jumping up and down shouting “Baby, Baby, Baby, Ohhhhhh.”
BRB CRYING!!! …And also singing along because who doesn’t love that song!?
I’ve been playing the video over and over as I write this article and every time I play it I smile because seeing the innocence of these teens just makes me so happy! Their parents should be proud.
I’m also reminded of my soon to be teenage son and I hope that he never loses the kid spirit in him regardless of his age.
Once the song finishes, the boys cheer and the residents of the home, who are recording, let out a little giggle and say, “Hell yea. Cool.”
Ugh. My heart. These are the kind of stories I live for as a mom, as a human, and as a person in the media who is tired of seeing teens in the spotlight for negative things.
I tried to reach out to the boys in the video but have yet to hear from them so, if anyone knows them let them know that the chick on the radio is looking for them! Not in a creepy kind of way but in a “Mijo, I’m so proud of you” kind of way.
