Black Klansman is now a major motion picture and has been nominated for this year's Oscars. Author and El Pasoan Ron Stallworth will be hosting a book signing in El Paso in February. The 2019 Oscars nominees are out and the Spike Lee movie BlacKKKlansman grabbed four nominations for Best Supporting Actor (Adam Driver), Best Director (Spike Lee), Best Adapted Screenplay and the big award of the night, Best Picture. The life of Ron Stallworth is so fascinating that it was only a matter of time before Hollywood came knocking. In 1978, Stallworth was working as an undercover officer when he responded to a classified for the Ku Klux Klan. From there, he infiltrated the organization for seven months and even had multiple phone conversations with the KKK's Grand Wizard Dave Duke. The investigation only ended when....well, you can grab the book and read it to find out how it all ended.

Ron Stallworth will be signing copies of his book, Black Klansman, on Saturday, February 9th at 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in El Paso. Barnes and Noble bookstore is located at 705 Sunland Park Drive. Spike Lee's film based on Stallworth's book, BlacKkKlansman, is available now for rent. Find out more information about this book signing and talk at the Facebook event page.
