There's no better feeling then going to the toy aisle & reliving your childhood (or in my case, be jealous of the cool toys kids can play with nowadays). Texas is no stranger to having some incredible toy stores in the state, but which ones are the best? Here are some that people LOVE visiting in the state.

Austin is home to one of the biggest toy stores in the state

With over 12,000 square feet of toys, Terra Toys is certainly a contender for one of the BIGGEST toy stores you can visit in Texas. Located at 2438 W Anderson Ln. C1 in Austin, Terra Toys has been open since 1978.

There's another toy store in Austin that many claim is their favorite and the best in Texas

Perhaps the contender for the BEST toy store in Texas is Toy Joy that's also located in Austin (they have several locations). Toy Joy has been a favorite around Austin since 1987. However it's not just the people in Austin that love Toy Joy; Rolling Stone, USA Today & Time Out have put Toy Joy in their lists of top stores in the USA.

Here are some other toy stores that people love in Texas

Jayden's Toys in Plano, Texas got a vote for possibly being one of the biggest toy stores in Texas from a YouTuber named 80's Toys Roc. He was also nice enough to show a tour around Jayden's Toys.

Other toy stores worth mentioning is the Big Blue Whale in Houston, Texas (237 W 19th St), Toys Unique in Dallas (5460 West Lovers Lane #236 located in the Inwood Village), & The Collective Toy Co at 9300 Carnegie Ave in El Paso, Texas.

We also had to make a mention to Misfits Toys in Houston, which got some love from The Texas Bucket List back in 2022.

Of course these are just a few options in Texas; there are MANY more local toy stores that might be around you that worth discovering.
