The annual Bataan Memorial Bike Run is Saturday, April 27th, in Carrizozo, near Alamogordo.  Enjoy not only a nice ride but also food, drinks, fun and music!

The event honors the memory of soldiers from New Mexico who were forced to endure the infamous Bataan Death March. Men like Julio Barela and Father Albert Braun just to name a couple. (Mr. Barela was one of it's oldest survivors and Father Braun was a Priest and Lt. Colonel known as the "Warrior Priest".)

Registration for the run takes place at Highway 54 and and 380 in Carrizozo from 9:30 - 11:30 … $15 for solo riders, $20 for couples. Money raised goes to two different charities, the St. Jude's Restoration Fund and 2/4 Marine Gold Star Families.  All bikes and bikers are welcome. Those who don't ride are welcome to come have fun and donate at the after party at the No Scum Allowed Saloon in White Oaks.  For more info, call (575) 430-2545.
